Senior executives are under increasing pressure to build more efficient business models, leveraging new organisation structures and technologies such as AI to drive productivity and effectiveness. Indeed, a recent report by Forbes found that 96% of C-suite executives are expecting AI to boost productivity amongst their workforce.
Whilst the business case for this transformation is clear, bringing employees along for the ride is more complex. Concerns over restructures and job losses due to AI are making the workforce nervous. Employee engagement is at its lowest level and declining. Ironically, this loss of engagement is killing productivity, the very aspect senior executives are under pressure to improve.
