Data Literacy for the Modern Organisation

Private meeting     22-SEP    TIME: 11AM

“Nontech people need tech skills, too. With the continued importance of technology in driving business value, technology can no longer be relegated to being an ‘IT thing’”

[McKinsey, 2020]

The rate of digital change has been explosive in the last 18-months. Organisations have been forced to digitalise, putting pressure on Executives and Technology leaders to keep up. One of the biggest challenges for these executives is the lack of data skills. Three in four UK executives have found difficulty in recruiting people with the right data and technical skills [Education Technology, 2021]. It seems the pandemic has turned the war for talent up to 11.

Three strategies are emerging: compete for talent and accept escalating cost implications; find and invest in new sources of talent; and democratise data skills across the existing workforce. Whilst data literacy is an attractive path, less than 50% of organisations have the resources in place to meet their re-skilling needs [McKinsey, 2020]. How, therefore, can you rapidly democratize data literacy across your organisation and get a jump on the competition?

Join us as we discuss and debate this topic, putting forward radical ideas to re-shape your thinking.

Who Should Attend?

Senior technology decision makers such as CIOs, CTOs, CPOs and other technology-focused executives working within Central Government and industries including IT Service, Computer Software, Real Estate and Construction with an interest in democratising data literacy. Attendance is capped to ensure every participant is able to contribute. The meeting is only open to invited participants or those who has been referred by a colleague or our partner, Multiverse.

A special thank you to Multiverse for their continued support of the Change Makers Club. Multiverse strive to create a diverse group of future leaders by providing high-quality apprenticeship programmes that combine work, training and community.

What is the experience?

All of our virtual roundtables are focused, collaborative and informative. As a participant you join via video and – thanks to a chaired and moderated discussion – take away actionable ideas to implement within your business and with your customers.

Prior to the virtual meeting taking place, each attendee is interviewed to understand their interests and perspective. Those who register early will also contribute towards the insight report, which will be published prior to the virtual meeting and will be the focus of the discussion.
