Mastering Tool Sprawl

There’s more to technology  consolidation than simply  cost savings...

Join us to explore this

"Sprawl: It’s a problem nearly as old as the IT industry itself. Introduce a new technology, and sooner rather than later, it will spiral out of control"

Forbes, 2025

Tool sprawl – a persistent problem for Tech & Infosec executives. Nearly 50% of them named IT consolidation as their top priority back in 2016 [Deloitte 2016]. Yet fast forward to today, and 71% still say they don’t have it under control [Forbes 2025]. And with new AI tools emerging, sprawl will only accelerate.

Large enterprises now juggle an average of 54 tools for security alone [Forbes, 2025]. Factor in the full tech stack, and it’s no surprise that costs are spiraling and risk exposure is climbing. Given the pressure on both fronts, why has real progress been so elusive?

Join us alongside a group of senior executives, as we unpack what’s driving this ongoing problem and explore how we can start to make meaningful headway in 2025.

“Most organisations are suffocating their potential with outdated tools and cultures that talk about innovation but never actually do it” [Forbes, 2025]

2

“Achieving tool consolidation requires more than technical execution—it demands leadership and strategic alignment” [Splunk, 2025]

3

“Sprawl often leads to all sorts of thorny problems related to data governance, compliance and security” [Rami Mazid, CIO @ Nutanix, 2025]

Partner

From its founding in 2003, Splunk has helped organizations explore the vast depths of their data like spelunkers in a cave (hence, “Splunk”). Their purpose is to build a safer and more resilient digital world. Every day, they live this purpose by helping SecOps, ITOps, and engineering teams keep their organizations securely up and running. In 2024, Splunk was acquired by Cisco to help customers continue to build resilience across their entire digital footprint. Today, many of the world’s largest and most complex organizations rely on Splunk to protect their mission-critical systems. For them, digital resilience is a team effort, so must be built together.
