Simplify to Amplify

With Martech utilisation at its lowest level ever, is now the time to re-think and release wasted budget?

“41% of commerce leaders sadly feel they’re just wasting time with MarTech (because) they’ve got MarTech that’s not fit for purpose”

Sara Richter, CMO at SAP Emarsys

Product-led marketing budgets are shrinking – now at just 6.7% of total revenue, the lowest in five years. CMOs are feeling the squeeze, with 59% lacking the budget to deliver their strategy this year (Gartner, 2025). As pressure mounts, Marketing and Tech leaders are turning to Martech to do more with less.

But the landscape is noisy. Tools are endless, and 30% of Martech spend is wasted on underused or overlapping platforms (Forrester, 2024). This is especially true in Benelux, where tech investment is above average, but confidence in using new tech is below average (Cognizant, 2024).

So how do you cut through the chaos, make the right calls under pressure, and invest in Martech that actually delivers without adding to the waste or complexity that so often comes with it?

An intimate venue from a two Michelin-starred chef

La Villa Lorraine, Bruxelles / 7:00-10:00PM

The swish Micheline-recommended Villa Lorraine by Yves Mattagne would be quite at home in London or Paris. The establishment is renowned for its tableside service, all of which adds to the experience, as does the attentive service and knockout wine list. Yves is a passion chef who earned his two Michelin stars at the Sea Grill before opening Villa Lorraine.

Exceptional produce like Burgaud duck, seabass and chicken from La Cour d’Armoise farm are crafted classically yet with a refreshing edge. Examples include a juicy chicken breast with aromatic black truffle, while a big-boned gravy, a subtle ravioli stuffed with mashed celeriac and truffle-flavoured chicken legs add a final touch to this culinary feat.
