The future SOC is extremely streamlined. Analysts will be freed from mundane, repetitive tasks, so they can apply their expertise where it truly matters: defending the organization.
Splunk, 2025
As digital transformation accelerates and AI tools expand, a new complication is taking shape. Non-human identities are multiplying fast. And they’re far more complex to manage than human users, with 74% of tech and InfoSec leaders are saying they’re their biggest security challenge (Forbes 2025).
But your SOC is already stretched thin. 46% of teams spend more time keeping tools online than tackling the threats those tools uncover. And 59% say they’re overwhelmed by alerts, drowning in false positives and unable to spot real issues amongst the noise (Forbes 2025).
So, when the next wave of complexity hits, how do you prepare your SOC to respond when they are already working at full capacity?

1
78% of respondents say their tools don’t work well together. That makes fast response harder. (Forbes 2025)
2
40% of cybersecurity alerts they received were false positives. (Forbes 2025)
An intimate dinner at
Michelin-starred location
The Ned, London / 6:30-9:30PM BST
The Ned is an iconic City landmark where timeless elegance meets modern luxury. It's a distinctive setting for exceptional dining and meaningful conversation. "Located in the former Midland Bank HQ, designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens (with many original architectural details in place) it’s now a party palace – with restaurants, bars and a magnificent lobby offering live music. For downtime, expect beautiful bedrooms and a deeply relaxing spa. The Ned is a spectacle of a hotel" [The Telegraph].

Usually, I am critical of these meetings. But I was pleased to be part of this one. No regrets. It was a great session.

From its founding in 2003, Splunk has helped organizations explore the vast depths of their data like spelunkers in a cave (hence, “Splunk”). Their purpose is to build a safer and more resilient digital world. Every day, they live this purpose by helping SecOps, ITOps, and engineering teams keep their organizations securely up and running. In 2024, Splunk was acquired by Cisco to help customers continue to build resilience across their entire digital footprint. Today, many of the world’s largest and most complex organizations rely on Splunk to protect their mission-critical systems. For them, digital resilience is a team effort, so must be built together.
